LAST GENERATION
The Last Generation is an alliance of activists from various environment movements. They want to use means of civil disobedience to enforce measures by the German and Austrian federal governments against the climate crisis. The Last Generation is represented at 28 locations throughout Germany. However they are not only situated in Germany, but also in eg. Australia, France, Sweden, Canada, USA,… , meaning it is spread all over the world.
One of their actions was eg. the immediate measures against the supermarket garbage cans and give them away to the public. They also point out the illegal origin of the food. Some activists even self-declared “container theft” to draw attention to the issue.
Other actions are also the blockades of highways, which have already spread in different cities, where the activists sit on the streets and glue their hands to the ground with “climate glue.
